ϟ Maybe Things Will Change Tomorrow.

‘I love you’ she said, looking deeply into his eyes before abruptly jumping on the couch. She’d ignore him for the rest of the day. How was he to complain about someone who told him he was important after each sunrise. So what if she jet off right after without looking back. He supposed he was far more lucky than most. ‘Darling’ he’d start. ‘Not now, love’ she’d snap back with a smile. She was good in making him feel like she was doing him a favour. ‘Fine’ she’d laugh, rolling her eyes, ‘I’ll close my book tonight’. If you possess an untuned guitar, can you ask it be fine tuned, or do you sit idle and accept you at least have this full bodied instrument? She made him feel like lying awake every night of his life. The question marks he lay on stuck out through the mattress.  And what of lying awake at night? Do you go to see a doctor or do you thank all the previous nights you knew of sleep instead? There is a difference in complaint and critique, but not that many know; not that many believe they deserve better. And what of happiness? Is it better to be so afraid in not being able to find what you want, that you stick with an unhappiness that corrodes you? Or do you endure the pain of leaving what you have to make room for something you might not know you’ll attain?
